The San Jose Sharks are on the phone and they want to make a move! They want to trade Evander Kane for next to nothing and willing to eat a big chunk on what’s left of his seven-year, $49-million contract. It makes cap sense and you love the terms!

Would a Maple Leafs Evander Kane trade ‘fly in Toronto’ under any circumstances?
This guy has serious baggage though. Beyond the domestic violence and various assault reports, there are the allegations that he bet on Sharks games that he directly played in by his estranged wife.
Kane was said to have already filed for chapter 7 bankruptcy in California after claiming almost $27 million dollars of debt.
The NHL just released a statement and said there was no evidence that Kane gambled on hockey games,

Beyond those troubling issues, Evander Kane is a proven producer and would bring a badly needed physical presence to the Maple Leafs. He can score and he can intimidate.
