POLL: Who's The Worst Maple Leafs Goalie of All-Time?

When is the last time that Maple Leafs fans can honestly say that we’ve had a great goaltender?

Maybe Curtis Joseph?

We all hoped Frederik Andersen would be the first one in a long time, but injuries and inconsistent play had most fans souring on him before he eventually left for the Hurricanes as a free agent.

For this poll, we’re remembering the stinkers: What goaltender holds the dubious title of worst Maple Leafs goalie of all-time?

We probably need to look at the stats first, but much of it can be misleading because of the teams that played in front of them.

I’ve pulled the good ones and the bad ones….

When researching this post and putting the list together here, I had forgotten many (most) of the Toronto goalies over the years.. and yes it brought back an assortment of painful memories of some really bad teams.

On the other hand, it also had me remembering some of my favourite Maple Leafs goalies growing up like Felix Potvin and Mike Palmateer.

I’ve always maintained that great goalies will find a way to make the big save, bad goalies give up the goals that ultimately cost you the game.

REALLY Bad Goals against the Leafs

There are way too many potential goalies to list below, I wanted to concentrate on adding more recent goalies to the list and have taken some liberties so that the majority of Leafs fans will recognize the names.
