While browsing YouTube for new content to post, I came across a newly uploaded documentary about John Kordic.
It was the first I had heard Kordic’s name for many years, typical for most NHL enforcers of the past that have faded from our memories.
John Kordic played a total of seven seasons in the NHL, including the Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Washington Capitals and Quebec Nordiques.
Known for his struggles off the ice with substance abuse issues as much as being an NHL enforcer on the ice, Kordic passed away as a result of lung failure due to heart malfunction from a suspected cocaine overdose at the age of 27.
Sorry folks, you need to watch this one directly on YouTube.
